Hi, and welcome to Boxer:Peter Pan of Dog World. This site is made especially for Boxer lovers and/or their Boxers. We will discuss about health, nutrition, exercise, and etc. of our Boxers. And please take a minute to stop at my Yahoo! internet group site at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/the-dog_house/
In my group, we can discuss about any breed of dog. Please join if you want to. Enjoy my website!

What is the Boxer? The Boxer is an old dog breed that has helped many people during its years. The Boxer is a large/medium size breed that has both Mastiff and Bulldog characteristics. It is a heavy dog, but not as heavy as a Rottweiler or a Mastiff.
The Boxer always has a sense of humor in a way. It's not a serious dog like a German Shepherd. It will always find ways to please you and make you laugh. So if you don't have a sense of humor, don't get a Boxer.
The Boxer is also a very active breed. It needs a lot of exercise. Daily jogs, or LONG walks will satisfy it for a day. Or if you have a large fenced yard, you can let it free run, which is very good for it.
The Boxer is also a VERY smart breed. It will find it own form of amusement during training if it gets bored. It will always thrive to please you. It does great in obedience trials and tracking, and schutzhund too. But it's harder know-a-days to find Boxer savvy schutzhund clubs.
It loves children, and if very affectionate towards them. It is an excellent guard dog, but it does not have an aggressive guarding instinct like Dobermans and German Shepherd do.
Surf my website and I hope you'll see a lot more in-depth information on the Boxer.

Always keep clean water for your Boxer. Do not limit water intake. Some people only give water when food is given. This is not good, it is unhealthy, because sometimes when dogs are thirsty they will drink really fast and you can't teach eating and drinking etiquette to a dog. When they drink really fast, they are at risk to bloating, a very deadly illness.
